His background in directing brings strong storytelling to his photography and his love of film, painting, graphic design and music, also greatly influences his pictures. His most significant sources of inspiration comes from researching and exploring other cultures and landscapes. These cultural experiences are what make up the travel imagery and photo essays he has had published in CITY magazine, Communication Arts, PDN and National Geographic among others.
His commercial work remains focused on still life and food. He has experience with fashion accessories editorial, brand look books, catalogs and e-commerce and has recently finished photographing his second cookbook. He is currently shooting his third for Artisan Books out late 2013 that centers on the lifestyles and symbiotic relationship between the farmers at Kinderhook Farm in Ghent, NY and the butchers at The Meat Hook butcher shop in Brooklyn.Expand
